Research and Advocacy | Q2L

Quest 2 Learn (Q2L) is a co-learning, advocacy initiative by Quest Alliance. It maps the emerging trends governing the future of work and learning. By involving voices from civil society organizations, policymakers, education leaders, and the government, Q2L facilitates the exchange of best practices, showcases innovations, addresses sector needs, and recognizes impactful champions.

State-Level Quest2Learn Event in Gujarat

The state-level Q2L event in Ahmedabad held last May brought together over 200 stakeholders from civil society organizations, the government and industries, to discuss key challenges and reforms in Gujarat’s education and employability sectors.

We launched our research report titled Pathways to Work: Mapping Skills, Education & Employability to Labour Market Demand. Published with support from the Just Jobs Network and the Future Right Skills Network, this research highlights gaps in the industrial and vocational training ecosystem.

Designing Blended Learning for Belonging: Teacher and Learner Perspectives

In July 2022, a report titled Blended Learning: Experiences in Public Education and Design Principles for Low-Tech Environments presented insights from our research conducted in 11 states. It focused on the public education system's experiences during the pandemic and its transition to tech-based learning. An interactive workshop for learning designers, facilitators, and educators dived into blended-learning approaches for India’s current context and how it could improve learner inclusion..

State-Level Quest2Learn Event in Jharkhand

In partnership with Project Sampoorna and Dasra’s 10to19 Adolescents Collaborative, we organized a state-level summit on the State of Adolescents in Jharkhand. The summit convened key stakeholders – including adolescent girls and civil society organizations working on education, adolescent health, protection and agency.

Over 30 civil society organizations participated. Conversations provided insights for building resilience in civil society organizations doing simlar work with adolescents, both programmatically and institutionally.

Q2L Summit: Schools Program Edition

The Schools Program edition of Q2L explored what it means to create an enabling ecosystem to help learners cultivate the STEM mindset. It focused on showcasing learner-led innovations, getting perspectives on methods educators use to foster STEM mindsets, and exploring collaborative approaches which governments and civil society organizations facilitate to boost STEM education. 

This edition celebrated STEM champions and invited around 100 learners, educators, civil society organizations, funders, and government representatives to discuss ways to deepen the STEM mindset.
